She was predeceased by: her parents, Josephine Meier and William Meier; her siblings, Clifford Meier and Joyce Roosli (Eugene); and her brothers-in-law, John Manson and Paul Lunde.
She is survived by: her children, David Bayer (Jill) of Madison, Erik Bayer (Elizabeth) of Verona, Elizabeth Bayer (Matthew Cuniff) of Verona Wi, Theresa Rounds (Jim) of France and Philip Bayer (Kris) of California; her grandchildren, Wilker, Turner Bayer, Brooke, Luke Bayer, Michele Castro (Caleb), Melissa Leu (Dalton), Jessica Bayer (Adam Wren) and Jaime Bayer; her great grandchildren, Leo Castro, Lincoln Leu and Lucy Bayer; her sisters, Margaret Manson and Lois Lunde; and her sister-in-law Jeanie Meier. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to charities that were important to Carole, St Marys Foundation, PBS and Doctors Without Borders.
