She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Slifer and Vivian Slifer (Wellenkotter); her brother Rodney Slifer; her daughter Katherine Wendel-Curtis; and her granddaughter Megan Clift.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Wendel; her daughters, Susan Wendel and Elizabeth Clift (Ed); her grandchildren, William Clift (Morgan), Hunter Wendel-Curtis and Emmeline Wendel; her great grandchild Declan Clift; her sister-in-law Elizabeth Slifer; and her niece Adi Slifer Biegler (Alex).
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Urbana, or United Way of Champaign County.
