He is survived by: his parents, Gary Balgord and Darlene Balgord; his child Beckett Guy; his wife Megan; his daughter Cora; his sisters, Sarah Balgord (Matthew Stran) and Elizabeth Balgord (Cameron Colburn); and his niece Charlotte Stran. He is also survived by other family members and friends.

During the pandemic, Ben stepped away from an engineering career to focus on serving his community and spending more time with his young family.
