He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Stern; his son-in-law David Lefeber; his siblings, Lloyd Stern, Howard Stern and Ethel Abel; his siblings-in-law, Rhea Stern and Gordon Abel; and also Helen Stern.
He is survived by: his wife Rosie; his children, Ruth Lefeber, Roberta Patnaude (Ken) and Richard Stern (Patricia); and his grandchildren, Jeremy Patnaude, Brian Patnaude (Allison), Ronna Evachenko (David), Wade Lefeber, Chris Stern and Sarah Hertzfeldt (Aaron).
