He is survived by: his wife Gay of Luxemburg; his sons, Daniel of De Pere and Michael of Algoma; his stepdaughter Sara Rodriguez of Fitchburg; his grandchildren, Noah of Algoma and Amya Lukes of Algoma; his siblings, Linda Koudelka (Bob), Waukegan, Ill, Lorraine Lukes-Heckman (John), Surprise, Ariz, Robert Lukes (Valerie), Laura Lukes-Pelke (John), Joseph Lukes (Lynne Sevey), Slovan, Nancy Lukes, Minneapolis and Minn; and the mother of his children Cynthia Lukes-Berg (Randy).
