It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon A. Gillis of Luxemburg, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 27, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Patek Kewaunee (Mike) and Dawn Durham (Mike) of Victoria, TX; his grandchildren, Amy Vanden Avond (Joe), Debra Van Goethem (Matt), Edward Patek (Fran), Lindy Burns (Anthony Reisinger), Danielle Barraza (Erik) and Nicholas Burns; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Ryan, Kathryn Vanden Avond, Mitchell, Mason, Madyson Van Goethem, Eddie, Calvin Patek, Purusa Burns, Jameson Burns, River and Briggs Barraza; his siblings, Darrell Gillis (Mary), Ron Gillis (Alice) and Sharon Swagel; his siblings-in-law, Jim Lipsky (Shirley), Helen "Tootsie" Reisner, Nancy Bierke (Bob) and Dale Lispksy; and his close friends, Joane Kollross, Ted, Anita Stodola, Mike and Coleen Lambert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
