He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Michiels and Anna Michiels (Ducat); his wife Glenda M. Davister; his son John; his grandson Gregory Wojta; his brothers, Clement, Jim, Benny, Charlie and Patrick "Frog"; and his close friend Dorothy Michalski.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Wojta (Francis), Claire Hlinak (Lloyd), Joe Michiels (Debbie), Terri Schleis (Peter), Fred Michiels (Betty), Mike Michiels (Angel), Dan Michiels (Stacy) and Scott Michiels (Stacey); and his sister Mary Ann Linzmeier (Milo). He is also survived by twenty one grandchildren; three step grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and one on the way; three step great grandchildren.
