He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeda McChesney and Ernest McChesney; his siblings, Cheryl Provo, Wayne and Calvin; and the mother of his children Patricia.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his brother Dick; and his children, Patrick, Pam McChesney, Sue Anderson, Mary Bergen, Ann Nelson and Katie McChesney. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
