She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Juszkiewicz and Frances Juszkiewicz (Nowak); her husband Walter Hendzel; her sister Mae Ochab; and her daughter Jean Sromek.

She is survived by: her children, Walter Hendzel Jr. (Marie) of Chicago, Edward Hendzel (Rachel) of Gilman, Barb Hendzel (late Sandy Bashaw) of Thorp, Theresa Kliscz (Ray) of Lublin and Laurie Schertler (Tom) of Chicago; and her son-in-law Greg Sromek (late Jean Sromek). She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many friends.
