He was predeceased by: his father Lynn A. Ward; his brothers, Randy and Albert "Gene" Ward; and his daughter-in-law Jenn Ward. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne L. Bauer of Loyal; his children, Brian (Kaci Kleinhans) of Eau Claire, WI and Kristi Primc of Marshfield, WI; his grandchildren, Maranda (Erica), Nathan, Calista and Ciara; his stepgrandsons, Ethan and Mason; his siblings, Tim Ward (Sandy) of Virginia, MN, Phillip Ward of Eau Claire, WI, Judy Ward of Eau Claire, WI, Rita Jackson (David) of Greenwood, WI, Alice Clairmont (Kevin) of Eau Claire, WI and Vicky Shelton (Shawn) of Marshfield, WI; and his sister-in-law Aon Ward of Thornton, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church (407 N Division St, Loyal, WI 54446). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery (407 N Division St, Loyal, WI 54446).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in Steve's name to Loyal Fire & Ambulance.
