He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Wirtz and Alice M. Wirtz (Ritta); his former wife Sharon L. Hertel; his daughters, Barbara Jean Wirtz and Julie Wolford; his siblings, Marvin Wirtz and Marion Brown; and his brother-in-law Phil Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth A. Motion of Loyal; his children, Valerie Cook of Waukegan, IL, Sharon Lee Geldernick of Dorchester, WI and Kenneth Wirtz (Sharon) of Kenosha, WI; his stepchildren, Ron Motion (Tammi) of Loyal, WI and Lenora "Lin" Mueller (Joe) of Colby, WI; his son-in-law Charles Wolford of Albuquerque, NM; his brother Jack Wirtz (Lilly) of Hanover, IL; and his sister-in-law Audrey Wirtz of Lena, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
