She was predeceased by: her parents, George Penoske and Sally Penoske (Besch); her son Danny Zirbel; her siblings, Eugene, Frederick and Sally Miescher; her brother-in-law Fred Miescher; her parents-in-law, Norman and Erna Zirbel; and her extended family, Clarence and Arline Bensley.
She is survived by: her husband David "Zip" Zirbel of Lowell; her children, David Zirbel (Lynn) and Julie Regan (Don); her grandchildren, Dustin Zirbel (Lisa), Chad Zirbel (Jenny), Matthew Zirbel, Jessica Kohnlein (Mark), Dominick Regan (Molly Michels) and Casey Zirbel; her great grandchild David "Riley" Zirbel; and her sister-in-law Brenda Penoske. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
