He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his children, James Lauersdorf (Mary Osterhoff) and Diane Kolbow; his grandchildren, Pam Kolbow and Andy Kolbow (Rachael Derr); his great grandchild Michael Kolbow; and his cousin Erline Baird. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
