He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Buerger; his children, Gregory Betz (Lauri), Gene Betz and Marcia Betz; his grandchildren, Barbara Zahn (Noah), Mary Alice Luedtke (Don) and Walter Betz; his great grandchildren, Lucy Zahn and Sawyer Luedtke; his siblings, Alice Scannell and Daniel Betz (Norma); and his siblings-in-law, Conrad Buerger (Audrey), Michael Buerger, Dean Buerger (Stephanie), Jean Buerger, Joan Buerger, LuEllen Reimer (Kenneth) and Donna Herman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
