He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Michels and Ruth Michels; his parents-in-law, Lester and Mildred Nichols; his siblings, Patricia Kehrmeyer (Francis), Oscar Jr. Michels (Jean), Dale Michels (Ruth) and Richard Michels; and his brothers-in-law, Bruce Bintzler, Tom Flor, Bud Fischer, Bob Maultra and Roger Nichols (Randy).
He is survived by: his wife Annette Nichols; his children, Daniel Michels (Brenda), Dennis Michels (Karyn) and Brenda Caplice; his grandchildren, Rebecca Alf (Chad), Katie Stoffel (Brian), Kelly Feucht (Marshall), Slick Michels (Lexi), Molly Michels, Allison Klintworth, James Klintworth (Michelle), Lauren Haack (Tyler), Ellen Cassidy (Sam), Emily Caplice and Billy Caplice; his great grandchildren, Eloise, Aubree, Eli James Alf, Addison, Aiden Stoffel, Harper, Mara, McCoy, Hayes Feucht, Maverick Michels, Olivia Klintworth, Jocelyn and Rose Haack; his sisters, Joan Flor, Janice Maultra, Janet Fischer and Sister Mary Michels; and his sister-in-law Debbie Bintzler-Oestreich (Lee). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
