He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thieding and Evangaline Thieding (Hamburg); his brother James Thieding; and his brother-in-law Paul Muszynski. He is survived by: his son Brian Thieding-Crystal Walton of Lime Ridge; his granddaughters, MacKenzie and Kelley Thieding; his siblings, Susan Doria (Bill) of Hennepin, IL and Robert Thieding (Jane); his sister-in-law Diane Thieding; and his nieces and nephews, Jodi Whalen (Mike), Jeff Thieding (Julie), Kirk Muszynski (Jodi), Kristi Muszynski-Tyson (Greg Cothern), Kelley LaGrange (Chris) and Tammy Thieding-Blaha (Misti Hicks). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
