It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Paul Gilles (Lodi, Wisconsin), born in Waunakee, Wisconsin, who passed away on July 23, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Gilles and Mary Gilles (Dorn); his siblings, Eugene Gilles, Alfred Gilles, Wilfred Gilles (Annella), Martin Gilles, Sr. (Evelyn), Frances Gilles, Clara Boland (Ed), Margaret Conway (Dennett), Jeanette Schwarz (Louis) and Frances Ann Rysewyk (Ambrose); his siblings-in-law, Orville Endres (Mary), Rachel Andrewjeski (John), Selma Koch (Vincent), Harry Endres (Marlene) and Mike Ryan; and his great grandchild Joan Gilles.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel Rose Endres; his children, Lucy Gilles-Khouri, Karen Piasecki, Thomas Gilles (Karla), Pamela Bennett (Greg), Randal Gilles (Corinne), Leon Gilles (Deanna), Richard Gilles (Susan) and Judy Meinholz (Andrew); his grandchildren, Philip Khouri, Daniel Khouri (Aubrie), Keith McGregor, Kelly McGregor, Steven Gilles (Joylynn), David Gilles (Serena), Amy Swanson (Chris), Bradley Starks, Kyle Starks, Amanda Bennett, Maxwell Bennett, Alyssa Bennett, Nicole Plautz (Justin), Ryan Gilles (Grace), Kyle Gilles, Blake Gilles (Katrina), Chandler Gilles (Kaylin), Alana Gilles, Matthew Gilles, Lindsay Gilles, Taryn Goron (Chris), Kelsey Olson, Haley Adler (Tyler), Molly Meinholz (Jason Esser) and Mary Meinholz; and his siblings-in-law, Della Ryan (late Mike), Walter, Delvin (Judy), Wayne (Marsha), Daniel Endres (Rita) and Helen Gilles (late Alfred). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
