He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hellenbrand and Frances Hellenbrand (Wipperfurth); his children, Timothy Hellenbrand and Constance Gundlach; and his siblings, Alfred Hellenbrand, Donald Hellenbrand, Mary Ann Benish and Catherine Hochstein.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Hellenbrand (Lovik); his daughters, Donna Hellenbrand (Jerry Bell) and Becky Martell (Jonas); his grandson Jacob Hellenbrand-Bell; and his siblings, Arlene Michels, Viola Bohler (Donald), Vera Henriksen, Shirley Lawson and Roman Hellenbrand.
