He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Wanat and Sue Wanat; his sister Sarah Clark (Robert); and his nieces and nephews, Spenser, Mariah and Amelia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Columbia County Humane Society.
