He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmore Hamilton and Mary Ann Hamilton (Thompson); his sister Patricia A. Walden; his daughter-in-law Anna Hamilton; and his mothers-in-law, Delores Bernander and Donna Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Dorein J. Johnson; his children, Michael Hamilton (Jacki), Marc Hamilton (Debbie), Dianne Hamilton and Randall Hamilton (Jennifer Mackey); his brothers, George Hamilton (Susan) and William Hamilton (Karen); his brother-in-law Robert Lewis; and his grandchildren, Jesse Hamilton (Laura), Joshua Hamilton (Katie), Jenna Hamilton, Ivy Hamilton, Samuel Hamilton, Maxwell Hamilton, Nathan Morter (Becky), Holly Ternes, Andrew Morter, Alyssa Jorgensen (Carter), Amanda Dye (Jeff), Maggy Hamilton, Joe Glowacki, Nicole Glowacki and Samantha Motz. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, as well as many nephew, nieces and other relatives and friends.
