He is survived by: his wife Laurel; his children, Tricia Zimmerman (Russ) and Kyle Herwig (Loxanne); his grandchildren, Nicole Gates (Joey), J. J. Allen (Evey), Brock Allen (Mandi Showers) and Jace Herwig; his great grandchild Aubrey Gates; and his siblings, Doug Herwig (Audrey), Dale Herwig (Connie) and Jayne Herwig Heisig.
