He is survived by: his wife Diane C. Diske August; his children, Rodney Ruhland, Rhonda Rodenschmit (David), Rene Ruhland (Kelli Zimmerman) and Rachel Ruhland; his grandchildren, Wyatt Ruhland, Zoe Ruhland and Riley Peters; and his friend Dr. Diana Kruse.
