He was predeceased by: his parents, Carter Kohlenberg and Lorraine Kohlenberg (Schneider); his wife Janet Kohlenberg; his sister-in-law Cathy Kohlenberg (Davis); his sister Pat; and his brother-in-law Jim Addison.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Jentz (Jim), Jean O'Neill and John Kohlenberg (Tammy); his grandchildren, Dusty Jentz (Carli), Danielle Oaks (Trever), Shane, Caleb O'Neill, Dakota, Zachary and BreAnn Kohlenberg; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Jentz and Emmett Oaks; his brothers, Robert Kohlenberg (Norma), Greg Kohlenberg (Sue) and Bruce Kohlenberg (Cathy); and his brother-in-law Charles Breihan (Cecelia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He made many in kind donations and was known to have paid a pretty penny for a pecan pie at local charity auctions.
