He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Place and Delphia Place (Latham); his siblings, Milton Place (Betty), Wendell "Buzz" Place (Neva), Eunice Wackershauser (Virgil), Avanelle Sedbrook (Ed) and Audrey Stassi (Sam); and his brother-in-law Bruce Myers.
He is survived by: his wife Arlyne Schultz; his children, Marcee Place (Piquette), Pam (John Conrad) and Robin Place (Belken); his grandchildren, Whitney, Austin Place, Nick (Morgan), Ben Conrad (Laine) and Craig Place (Thelma); his stepgrandchildren, Brad, Katie Soat, Ryan, Jen Soat, Teresa and Kory Reeder; his sister Donna Myers of Livingston; and his siblings-in-law, Lu Borcherding (Ivan), Jannett Orcutt (Bill), Bill Schultz (Shirley) and Johnny Schultz (Kathy). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Livingston-Clifton Fire Department or Livingston UM Church.
