He was predeceased by: his wife Florence; his siblings, Clarence Hilbert (LaValice), Norbert Hilbert (Pat), Larry Hilbert and Betty Maciejewski (Felix); and also, Ed Holewinski (Edna), Casey Holewinski, Verna Ostrenga (Tony) and Violet Klopotic (Dick).

He is survived by: his parents, William Hilbert and Stella Hilbert (Bucholtz); his daughters, Barb Van Lannen (Jim), Pulaski Drevs, Darlene Drevs (Carl), Green Bay, Brian Drevs (Jen), Carmen Drevs, Laura Plummer (Mike) and Jeff Van Lannen (Jessie); his brother Kenneth Hilbert of Menominee, MI; and his sisters-in-law, Marge Hilbert, Chase Holewinski, Lucille Holewinski and Green Bay. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
