It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Van Elzen (Little Chute, Wisconsin), who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Bobby, Bobert, Bunny and Bob Van Apple; his parents, John Elzen and Angela Van Elzen; his in-laws, Alta and Marcella Redfield; his siblings, Delores (Emil Koller), Roger (Jan Van Elzen) and Richard (Gloria Van Elzen); his siblings-in-law, Rita Van Elzen, Yvonne Van Elzen, Ellen Rusch, Gene Simon and Gary Angell; and his nieces and nephews, Greg Koller, Mark, Patrick Van Elzen, Tim Rusch, Linda Koller-Jackson and Barbara Timm.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Redfield; his children, Sherry Hopfensperger (Rich) of Pickett, WI and Tony Van Elzen of New Orleans, LA; his grandchildren, Kate and Karoline Hopfensperger; his siblings, Donald, Tom, Bill (Sandy) and Donna Simon; his siblings-in-law, Len Rusch, Barbara Spoehr (Dave), Margie Reetz (Mike), Patricia Angell, Janice Redfield and Eileen Mahoney (Pete); and also Shirley Van Elzen (late Roger). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church (411 Vandenbroek St, Little Chute, WI 54140). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for various organizations Bob was passionate about.
