He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett Hoks and Georgie Hoks; and his parents-in-law, Royce and Ida Thiel. He is survived by: his wife Susan Thiel; his daughters, Kristi Liebhauser (Dan) and Kerri Ahlborg (Andrew); his grandchildren, Lily and Ben; and his siblings, Judi VandeBerg, Marnie Rollefson (Lloyd), Bill Hoks (Debbie), Tim Hoks (Holly), Mike Hoks (Joanne) and Connie Guenzel. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
