He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Bahr and Betty Bahr (Stanford); and his sister Jane Else. He is survived by: his wife Emily Bahr; his children, Jason Bahr of Waterloo, IA, Joseph Bahr (Kimberly) of Waterloo, IA, Julie Eastman (Chad Rogge) of Waterloo, IA, Lisa Baker of Racine, Allen Voss (Kelly) of Appleton and Daniel Payne (Jessica Riddle) of Clintonville; his grandchildren, Devin Heinze, Braeden, Conor, Cameron Eastman, Breeann Bahr, Megan Blazewicz (Matt), Melissa Tuomisto (John), Kayla Baker, Jessica Voss and Samuel Voss (Ayanna); his great grandchild Genesys; his siblings, Jim Bahr (Joanne), Jill Boesen (Jerry) and Larry Bahr; and his brother-in-law Larry Else. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
