He was predeceased by: his parents, John Burgt and Antoinette Vande Burgt (Van Ryte); and his wife Rosemary Verhasselt. He is survived by: his children, Mike Vande Burgt (Barb), Paul Vande Burgt (Michelle Weyenberg) and Kathy Micke (Dan); his grandchildren, Jessica Jacobs (Mike), Julia Miller (Jon), John Vande Burgt (Ashley), Joseph Vande Burgt (Mikaela Johnson), Sara Vande Burgt, Amanda Weinke (Cole) and Tyler Vande Burgt; and his sister Rose Seegers. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
