He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose and Mathilda; his brother Ron Weigman; his parents-in-law, Ed, Marjorie Spierings and Dorothy Spierings; his sister-in-law Carol Spierings; his nephew Michael VanderHeyden; and his niece Allison Eiting.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Alex, Allison and Lizzi; his wife Mary; his son Phil (Nikki); his grandsons, Brady, Connor and Jacob; his son Doug (Melissa); his grandchildren, Cashton, Coy, Piper and Cooper; his children, Greg (Mindy) and Jill (Jason); his sister Paulette King (Dave); his parents-in-law, Virgie Janssen (Gene), Jan VanderHeyden (Paul), Jack Spierings, Helen Eiting (Bob), Lois Gralapp (Dale), Jim Spierings (Sue) and Rosie Weigman; and his niece Jenny Jackson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Spierings Cancer Foundation.
