He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Schultz and Harriet Schultz (Rolczynski); and his siblings, Ken, Edward and Delores.

He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Krueger; his sons, Gregory (Rowena), Donald and Robert (Ellie); his wife Patricia Nelson (Verstoppen); his brother Melvin; his daughter Angela Beavers (Archie); his stepchildren, Leroy Nelson (Teresa), Carl Nelson, Paul Nelson and Connie Nelson (Bryan); his grandchildren, Julie, Jessica, Roy, Michell, Michael, Emily, Micah, Matthew, Charity, Hannah, Matthias, Jonathan, Daniel and Lily; his stepgranddaughters, Jessica and Mindy; his great grandchildren, Jasmine, Samuel, Reese, Kate-Ellie, Jackson, Bennett, Isabell and Leif; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Paige, Jaydn, Aubrie, Shayna and Ellie. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Due to COVID-19, a small funeral service for immediate family will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020.
