He was predeceased by: his parents, Clem Matzke and Sadie Matzke (Vanden Heuvel); his wife Dolores Kiley; his siblings, Roland Matzke (Ethel), Robert Matzke (Germaine), Blossom Krueger (Milton) and June Collins (Ed); and his brothers-in-law, Bernard Cohen and Roland Schroeder.
He is survived by: his grandson Eric Trousil; his children, Donna Trousil (Paul), David Matzke (Debbie), Dale "Curly" Matzke (Dawn), Carolyn Tordeur (Rick Ledvina), Christine Gerarden (Scot) and Eileen Nicholson (Andy); his grandchildren, Carrie Becker, Amanda Obenhoffer, Ben Matzke, Justin Matzke, Garett Tordeur, Shannon Tordeur, David Brogan, Nick Brogan, Danielle Cech, Molly Gerarden, Ned Nicholson, Danny Nicholson, Bridget Nicholson and Maggie Nicholson; his sisters, Joyce Cohen, Rosella Schroeder and Gloria Bougie (Roger); and his sisters-in-law, Marcella Hoffman and Kathy Kiley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
