He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph and Bette (Hawkey); and his brothers, Jimmy Hanson and Roger Hanson (Gail). He is survived by: his children, Brian Hanson (Alison) and Jamie Schroeder (Tad); his grandchildren, Teagan, Elias, Story, Hayden, Liam and Amaya; his close friend Karen Jeras; and his siblings, Joanne Shallow (Pat), Patricia Hanson and Mike "Boogie" Hanson.
