She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Koeppen and Martha Koeppen; her former husband Arthur E. Nell; her husband Harvey W. Metzger; her son A. Frederick Nell; and her sisters, Loretta Mongan, Mildred Kehn and Beatrice Nowacki.
She is survived by: her daughter Priscilla Martens (James); her sister Donna Nell; her daughter-in-law Janice Nell; her grandchildren, Jennifer Westerhaus (Timothy), Melissa Martens, Melinda Schmuki (Cory) and Katerina Suchan (Brad); and her great grandchildren, Jacob and Caleb Schmuki.
