Nee Burback) Went Home to her Lord on June 23, 2022 at the age of 99 in Altoona, WI. Beloved wife of the late Norman for 55 years. Loving mother Kathy (the late Carey) Szybski, James (Cheryl), William (Joanne) and Thomas (Diane). Cherished grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 16. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Dorothy, brother Donald, and parents William and Catherine.
Katherine loved music and dancing, especially Polka. She traveled with many cousins to different Polka fests all over the country. She was an avid and very skilled in quilt making, knitting and crocheting. She made a quilt, blanket or outfit for every newborn grandchild and great-grandchild. She also loved her chocolate malts. Everyone's memory of Mom was "She was such a sweet lady". She lived a very faith filled life. In her later years due to health reasons, she lived in Chippewa Falls, WI near her son, James.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 30 from 10AM until time of Funeral Service at 12PM at St. John's Lutheran Church; 20851 W. Main St., Lannon. Procession to Sunnyside Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
