He was predeceased by: his wife Doris; his grandchild Amy Konen (Ben); and his brothers, Earl, Donald and Gary.

He is survived by: his children, Barbara Schrader (Mark) and Dale Boedeker (Linda); his grandchildren, Jackie Vogel, Matthew Vogel (Andrea), Nicole Hall (Josh) and Michael Boedeker (Anna); his great grandchildren, Madison, Zachary, Cienna, Shelby, Hailey, Ava, Everly, Penelope and Cooper; and his sister Sharon Roland (Jim).
