He is survived by: his children, Dennis Hammes, Daniel Hammes, Paula Williams (Kevin) and Robert "Robbie" Hammes; his siblings, Jean Hammes, Mary Butson (Kevin), Kay Hirsch (David), Jim Hammes (Pam), Joseph Hammes (Karen), Mark Hammes (Beth) and David Hammes (Robin); and his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Hammes and Larry Trine. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
