He was predeceased by: his parents, Oswald Ellis and Gertrude Ellis (Cummins); his sister Marlene Ellis; his siblings-in-law, Darlene Ellis, Gloria Pickel, James Gates and John Pickel; and his niece Jennifer Walter.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Pickel; his son DaVon Ellis; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, William and Danielle; his great grandchildren, Noel, Xander, Dwight, Emma, Mayjo and Willow; and his siblings, Joan Gates and Larry Ellis (Marilyn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
