He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Schmidt and Florence Schmidt (Wypiszinski); his wife Linda L. Van Lanen; and his sister Kathleen Keuschel. He is survived by: his children, Tammy Schmidt and Tim Schmidt; his grandchildren, Jordan Lynn, Brandon James and Amber Marie; and his siblings, Jeff Schmidt, Greg Schmidt and Carol Schmidt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other close family, and friends.
