He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Ahola and Viena Ahola; his brother Don Viinikka; and his stepson Gary "Poncho" Brill (Hibbing). He is survived by: his wife Candace "Candy" Nys; his children, Christopher (Courtney Perala) and Cari Ann (Andrew Paulson); and also Amy Lynn (Mike Ribaudo). He is also survived by his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
