He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Gustafson and Vivian Gustafson; his wife Joyce Gerzic; his siblings, David and Ann; and his grandchildren, Anneka Moore and Webb Gustafson.

He is survived by: his children, Cherrie Moore of Superior, WI, Donovan Gustafson (Terri) of South Range, WI and Jarl Gustafson (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Justin, Jenna, Alex, Mikhael, Kayde, Donovan, Casey, Andy, Michelle, Tony, Rudy, Ellen, Jamie, Katelyn and Julie; his brother John Gustafson (Jan) of Frederic, WI; and also, Marsha Chaffey and Doren McArthur. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.
