She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Gehring and Emilie Gehring; her daughter Cynthia Junkers (Lohmann); and her siblings, Emery, Orville, Virgil, Marlin, Lyle, Luverne Krueger, Edna Korman and Shirley Thissen.
She is survived by: her son Russ Lohmann (Karen Lohmann); her grandson Jerimiah Junkers (Katie Wilke Junkers); her great grandchild Brayden Junkers; and her siblings, Ron, Jerry, Ken and Norma Stone.
Per Velma's wishes, there will be no funeral ceremony, and in her honor please make a donation to your local place of higher learning to celebrate her love of education.
