He was predeceased by: his parents, Onufry Firkus and Julia Firkus (Garski); his wife Marion Firkus; his siblings, Herman, Jerome, Pete, Darlene and Jane; and his stepson Todd Punzel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Reising (Francis), Victoria Schumacher (Tom Funk), Humphrey Firkus (Becky) and Francis Firkus; his sister-in-law Judy Firkus; his stepsons, Tony Punzel (Jodi) of Escanaba, MI and Timm Punzel (Roseanne) of Lake Mills; and his grandchildren, Kristin Linsenbigler (Matthew), Tony Punzel Jr., Kelsie Kleiman (Mitch), Brandon Punzel, Brooke Punzel, Aleda McFarren (Lucas), Amanda Punzel (Paul Stockwell), Courtney Brock (Justin), Kaleb Punzel (Carley) and Hannah Punzel (Oscar Hinojos). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
