He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Genz and Viola Genz (Kroll); his siblings, Isabel Kurtz, Arletta Lauersdorf, Hilbert, Eugene and Robert; and his siblings-in-law, Donald Kurtz, Richard Schwartz, Rolland Ruckdaschel, Don Kuehl, Elmer Lauersdorf, Evelyn Genz, Janet Genz, Howard Rindfleisch, Patricia Topel (Harvey) and Charlene Powers.
He is survived by: his wife Alice F. Rindfleisch; his daughters, Cheryl Olson (Mark) of Eleva, Doreen Feehrer of Kansas City, Traci Genz (Ron) of Madison and Laurie Genz Prien (Keith) of Monroe; his granddaughters, Bobbie Jo Shaw (Ryan) of Neillsville, Kari Jo Sterry (Bill) of Strum, Brooke Tjaden (Ben) of Muscatine Iowa, Elizabeth Piraino (Vince) of Kansas City and Paige Prien of Monroe; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Alison Shaw, Lucy Sterry, Riley Sterry, Ross Piraino and Brooks Sterry; his siblings, Irma Schwartz, Doris Ruckdaschel, Lucille Kuehl, Armin, Fred, Ward (Karen), Martin (Chris), John (Vickie) and Neal; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Rindfleisch and Dorothy Kasubaski. He is also survived by numerous nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
