He was predeceased by: his father William Cowell; and his son George "J. C." Cowell Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Jean Cowell, Kelly Kore (Art) and Bill Cowell (Becky); his grandchildren, Nicole Hrobsky (James), Ashley Kordus (Bryan), Erin Lehman (Rob), Danielle Hartwig (Noah), Kayla Bergman, Allen Cowell and Kyle Petoskey; and his sisters, Kay Bazinau and Florence Cowell. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
