She was predeceased by: her parents, George Deans and Helen Deans (Buechner); her children, Marie and James; her grandson Ryan; her nephew Paul Deans; her parents-in-law, Magdalene Michel (Dettman) and Carl Latsch; her stepparents-in-law, Les Michel and Ruth Latsch; and her daughter-in-law Sally Latsch.
She is survived by: her friend Ruth; her children, Steven (Cheryl), Cynthia Shaw (Craig) and Michelle Hanson (Theo); her grandchildren, Nicole Latsch (Jesse), Joel Meyer (Amanda), Andrea McMurray (Nick), James Hanson (Mara) and Julia Hanson; her great grandchildren, Adeline, Nathaniel, Willow, Titus Meyer, Landon Lucian and Cyrus Ryan Soucie; and her siblings, Ken Deans (Shirley), Greg Deans and Mary Deans. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
After retirement they made and donated hundreds of baby blankets to Mexico.
