He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril "Squirrely" Schmidt and Delores Schmidt (Meidl); and his sisters, Cheryl VonRueden and Julie Schmidt. He is survived by: his siblings, Gary Schmidt (Christine), Ronald Schmidt (Claudia), Brian Schmidt (Kathy), Steve Schmidt (Kay Kasten) and Michelle Schmidt; and his brother-in-law Larry VonRueden. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
