He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Irene Olivas of Uncles, Paul Olivas and Mark Olivas; and his mother Elvia Barrera (Olivas). He is survived by: his parent Saul Barrera; his siblings, Victoria Gomez (Barrera) and John Barrera; his nephews, Steven Barrera, Ryan Barrera, Jose Gomez and Israel Gomez; his niece Regina Selvera; and also, Fran Hitchcock and Cynthia May.
