He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Maura and Laird; his wife Eileen Scheffler (Green); his child Brennan Scheffler; his parents, Catherine L. Scheffler and William A. Scheffler; his siblings, Brad Scheffler (Jennifer), Sara Behl (Shane) and Elizabeth Murphy (Brian); his aunts and uncles, Michael Hollembeak (Marlyn), Mark Scheffler (Martha), Emma, Brody, Chloe, Jacob, Ava, Landon Scheffler, Cate, Drew, Jack, Alex Behl, Norah, Irene and Gus Murphy; and his parents-in-law, Catherine T., Francis P. Green, Michael Green, Maggie Cambria, Patrick Green (Rene), Katie Green and Molly Green. He was also cherished by friend group, and he considered many of his friends to be not just friends, but best friends.
