Margaret Downing Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Downing (Lake Geneva, Wisconsin), who passed away on July 4, 2019, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Popelka (Kowatch) and Anton Popelka; her husband George Walter Downing; her siblings, Patricia Popelka and Joseph Popelka; her son Jeffrey Downing; and her son-in-law John Robert Hochevar.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Wesner, Tara Young, Monica Hochevar and Nichole "Koko" Cooper; her children-in-law, Scott Wesner and Barbara Downing; her grandchildren, Bart Downing (Amy), Kimberly Grensavitch (Matthew), Kristen Davis, Elaine Sellenheim (Joseph), Patrick Stuart, Adam Wesner (Cassandra), Hayden Hochevar, Emerson Hochevar and Addison Hochevar; her great grandchildren, Nicholas Zerbach, Jamie Grensavitch, Audrey Grensavitch, Kenneth Grensavitch, Heidi Sellenheim, Autumn Sellenheim and Michael Downing; her siblings, Anthony Popelka, Edward Popelka, John Popelka (Joan), Robert Popelka, Vincent Popelka (Susan), Barbara Popelka, Elizabeth Tepley, Mary Gosse, Rita Popelka and Theresa Greskoviak (Richard); and her pet Mandy. She is also survived by siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family has asked for donations to be made in Margaret's name to the Walworth County Alliance for Children in Elkhorn or the Walworth County Food Pantry in Elkhorn.
